Doha: Qatar Tourism is taking action to regulate the operation of privately owned vacation homes and provide a comprehensive licensing and rating process while ensuring the adoption of international best practices to increase transparency, security and transparency. industry standardization.
The new regulation outlines the requirements for home owners to apply for a license, including quality standards, equipment, health and safety, accessibility criteria, code of conduct and environmental sustainability. Similar to the Qatar Clean program, the Holiday Home Regulation is part of Qatar Tourism’s efforts to promote a safe and enjoyable experience for those visiting Qatar.

Qatar Tourism has upgraded its system to facilitate new license applications for owners and authorized tenants who can now apply for a vacation home license through the E-Services portal.
Owners are responsible for ensuring the unit meets all legislative and maintenance requirements and is accurately listed with all necessary amenities and customer service provided. Frequent inspections will be carried out by Qatar Tourism in order to maintain the standards.
The move is part of Qatar’s goal to further diversify and increase its offerings, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030, which is developing products and services to attract visitors for 2022 and beyond.
This regulation complements the growing trend of the city’s hotel and apartment hotel segment, responding to changing demographics and traveler needs.
